How to Play and Win Solitaire? | Rules and Tips

Solitaire is an angel in the form of the game. It is a solo game that induces critical thinking and memory. Solitaire is mostly played to relieve stress, think about a plan or strategy, or just to have fun. You can now play Solitaire anytime, anywhere, no matter if you are online or offline.

Here are the rules of classic Solitaire:

General Terms

Number of Players: Solo (It is a single-player game.)
Number of Decks: A standard deck of 52 cards.
Foundation Pile: Four piles in the top left corner, one for each suit (Spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds).
Tableau: It is a center block that has 7 piles. Each pile from left to right has one extra card. Only the top card of the pile is facing up; the rest are facing down.
Stockpile: It is a card stack in the top right corner, which is placed face down.
Card Ranking: It is from high to low. K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A.

Rules

Objective

Arrange each suit in ascending order in foundation piles (A-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-J-Q-K).

Gameplay

You can move cards in the following ways:

Tableau:

  1. Move a card to a card that is one rank higher and is of a different color (e.g., a red 7 onto a black 8).
  2. Move a sequence of cards, in descending order and alternating colors, to another pile in the tableau. (e.g., a black 10, red 9, black 8 onto a red Jack).
  3. You can move only the King face-up card to an empty column.

Stockpile:

  1. In loss of moves, draw cards from the stockpile and place them on the tableau or foundation piles.

Foundation Piles:

  1. You need to move all the cards to the foundation piles in ascending order by suit, starting with the Ace and ending with the King.

Winning 

You win the game when all four foundation piles are completed, one for each suit, in ascending order from Ace to King.

  1. Place your Aces immediately to the Foundation Piles.
